A Collection of Scents
and their corresponding molecular formulas
Molecular Structures of Scents

Many scents are attributed to just a single molecule, and only a slight variation in the molecular structure can completely alter the scent. For example, a difference in position of the –COOH group in an ester compound is the difference between an orange scent and a rum scent.
Brief

My brief is to propose a design for a permanent collection of scents, with consideration to their molecular structures. The collection is to be housed in the former Partick Marine Prison, which has been partly refurbished as the Centre for Sensory Impaired People.
