YMAG // Motion Design Issue // Interactive Magazine

The main part of my work is the design and implementation of an own interactive magazine for tablet devices. I describe the way from conception to production of such a medium. Because of the progress it´s achieveable for anyone to become from a reader to a producer.

The digitization of our environment is ubiquitous and hardly anything out of the ordinary. But what is already quite normal in many places, only begins to unfold right in other areas. In recent years, the behaviour of the society has changed with the media and their method of gathering information. Especially the print industry (both books, newspapers and magazines) are affected by this transition. For the print industry, this means that they must take up and use these differences in society. So it will be in the future always smaller-scale environments with more specialized areas of interest.
The development of its digital form can not stop the analog journal so. This industry is only just starting to unfold properly and will come up with many new concepts. Slowly but surely prevails that the discerning reader of today can no longer be put of with a PDF version of the printed product. But new concepts that were not previously feasible for economic reasons, now have a right to exist. Consuming content will be merged with the latest technology and offer a product that did not exist so far. The interactive magazine.

On the theoretical basis of my research proposals, I go one step further and show the current status quo and what comes in the future in the digital magazine segment on us.
Whether print or digital, there are media that are used, because they fulfill the purpose for the people. If they can not fulfill these purposes, they will not be able to continue to exist.
