Alternative Education

Saint Paul Public Schools Alternative Education Branding & Logo Guide
Mission: to provide focused, alternative learning opportunities that support achievement, so that all students experience educational success, and graduate to something great!

Vision: Alternative Education will support student achievement by providing effective educational experiences for students seeking differentiated learning methods.

About
The Alternative Education programs rebrand project is designed to attract and retain students who are at risk of dropping out, failing their coursework and/or not graduating. The Alternative Education brand is intertwined with the district’s mission to offer a “premier education for all,” promoting student progress and success through alternative learning models.

The project primarily targets currently enrolled students who may not be aware of Alternative Education options available to them.

Secondarily, it targets parents, teachers, principals, administrators, and community partners who can support and foster connections to Alternative Education programs.

Official Logo
The Saint Paul Public Schools Alternative Education logo is comprised of shorthand letterforms for ‘Alternative Education’ with a dot for differentiation. The color scheme and font choice aligns the look of Alternative Education with the Saint Paul Public Schools “One Thing I Love” campaign. Utilizing complimentary tones for Alternative Education visually sets the program apart from other K-12 programs to reinforce that learners are receiving a premiere, custom education tailored to their needs, while also subtly signaling a sense of urgency around credit recovery and encouraging students to make graduation requirements on time.

These elements unite us visually as a family of programs under one District, symbolizing our universal goal for the success of every learner, without exception.
