Exhibition & Event

The SUP exhibition presented an overview of the Croatian comic book authors, former students of School of Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb and authors from late 70's comic group Novi kvadrat.

Also, it presented works by authors that have incurred during their schooling, work published in ŠPU newspapers, then in the popular press like Plavi Vjesnik, Polet, Patak, Start, and recent work by comic book authors published by local (Strip revija of Večernji List, Stripforum etc.) and the world famous comic book publishers (Marvel Comics, Delcourt, etc.).

SUP gathered great Croatian comics and internationally recognized authors who have worked in medium of comics in the period from the middle of last century to the present, as well as the young generation of comic book artists.
Project - exhibition "Comics in School" is created and organized by the Association of former students of School of Applied Art and Design - UBU, in collaboration with the School of Applied Art and Design and the Informal Alliance Organizam, to meet 131st School's anniversary.

During the exhibition there were organized guided tours for students and visitors as well as interviews with some of the authors who gave their insight about their experiences during training and their work .

The exhibition was opened in front of about 400 visitors, true lovers of the Ninth Art in the School's showroom "Izidor Kršnjavi" and was seen by more than 4000 people in two weeks.
