Class Assignment:
This was a project for packaging class. The assignment was to create a package either for music or medicine. I of course chose music and down below is what I came up with.
My Concept:
My concept was to create a CD case/box for the band and after a bit of research and internet browsing, I stumbled upon something called an explosion box. What it is, it’s 3x3 rows of squares that gradually grow smaller. It can have three to two layers and when it’s opened it has an explosion effect, hence the name explosion box. What I wanted to do was, implement this into my design and use it to my advantage and after a great deal of research and many hours of work I was able to come up with this in the end.
It is meant to contains four of their existing albums with some special items on the inside including fan art to give the feeling that the fans helped design the box. The boxes would also include special merchandise such as, backstage passes, concert ticket or maybe even signed T-shirts, posters and CDs depending on which box the buyer picks out.
