Personas
These personas were created in an academic context in the curricular unit of interfaces where it was proposed that we conduct an analysis and evaluation of usability of Portuguese college websites.
For the usability evaluation, we used the prospective technique using the interview and observation method for data acquisition. This process started with the creation of an interview script adapted to our target audience, in this case our sample were students, potential students and parents of FAUL students to whom we asked for their opinions about their user experience with FAUL’s website.
We then proceeded to collect the answers of these users and to process the data through an affinity diagram where we found three user profiles (Portuguese student, foreign student and student’s parent). Afterwards, interaction scenarios were also created and a heuristic evaluation of the website usability (content, information hierarchy, visual and layout consistency, functionalities) and proposed solutions were carried out.
