THE CREATIVE PROCESS
Tosca Lee’s book covers are all heavily designed with focal point typography, character photos, and background sceneries. Incorporating these elements into the design was key and achievable with the inclusion of an author photo. The professional portrait of Tosca Lee in the foreground pairs well with a clean gradient background.

THE OUTCOME
The grayscale background gives the poster depth and dimension. It solidifies the idea that the illustrations are floating around in an open space. Text and illustrations contrast with the gradient and give viewers plenty to look at without being visually overwhelmed.
