I am a playful, innovation-driven Interaction Designer with a strong sense of visual style, an expansive set of references and a passion for social justice. It is my mission in the design industry to bridge different fields and schools of design to breach the cutting edge of technology. I’m a visual thinker and iterator, and I have a confident understanding of how my field affects the state of the world.

Interaction Design is about making technology work like magic. In our continual transition from the physical and tangible to the digital and surreal, I want to create designs that inspire and spark a sense of playfulness, while also pushing boundaries. Daily interactions are increasingly based around technology and interconnected networks of computers, making something as simple as turning on your light an exciting action. I want to harness that excitement and use design to make as many moments like that as possible.

An aspect of my work that I’m passionate about is human rights and standing up for the disadvantaged. Every designer should be using their work to move us toward a more inclusive and fair society. Ethics, equity and human rights are ubiquitous concepts that touch every aspect of modern life. Designing for good with these ideas in mind will help me to meaningfully contribute through my work.

As a designer, I want to use my experiences in areas like video games, modern urban design, software programming, audio design, UX/UI theory and virtual reality to craft unique and meaningful designs that have a positive impact. By combining concepts and ideas from these different design disciplines I plan to confidently go against the grain and make novel and interesting choices in the development of my work.
