THE NINJA - The 1st solo album of guitarist virtuoso and graduate of Berklee College of music Luis Camacho. His music is an eclectic mix of funk, rock, Latin rhythms and different music textures, creating a unique amalgam of sounds. He felt his music was like a ninja: powerful, full of resources and skilled.
The ART needed to reflect the essence of a ninja. I wanted to create an intricate abstract shape that resembled in a way a ninja's "shuriken" and the process of its transformation stages when it is throw at and viewed from different angles. Ex: CD Spinning in the jewel case. Like Camacho's music, depending on how and where you see it/hear it, there is more to it that meets the eye.
TYPOGRAPHY needed to be simple. Music & Art had in a way all the Ninja's "equipment". Typography needed to "silent", "stealth", "a swift touch" but in no way less important. It was the balance that the whole concept needed. Like a ninja does.
