Originally designed by Oliver Messel in 2006 this gauze was repainted this year due to the original being damaged. It was painted on a 22x11m Gerriets’ ‘Carmen’ vision gauze with Susanna Burton and Esther Tidy at the Royal Opera House production workshop.
