This illustration is was made for an art competition where we had to choose a topic of our own choice and illustrate the chosen topic is one of the Indian art forms. I chose Kalighat Paintings as my artform and PowerPuff girls as my topic. Kalighat is famous for drawing the goddess Durga who is a fierce warrior and protector of the universe and to me powerpuff girls were the first feminist cartoon that I watched. Much like Durga they also have superpowers and protect those weaker than them and fight all the bad boys and the bullies. The PPG were one of my role models growing up.
