Semester Project // [HOME]

This semester project was an assignment to make a compact home. Our project was inspired by the principles of Sou Fujimoto's 'nest' and 'cave', where he uses the 'nest' as a metaphor of the built home, whereas the 'cave' is an existing space which you inhabit. Relating to the theories of Mark Vacher, we wanted the inhabitants to relate to the home, thus it is a hybrid between a 'nest' and a 'cave', by not defining where the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom are situated, furthermore what is the staircase? And what is the table? You decide!
