3D Render & Motion
The Mandelbulb is a 3D manifestation of a Mandelbrot Set, a 2D mathematical fractal form.
I recently decided to try making one and put it into a short motion video.
Made with OctaneRender on Blender, I wanted to give this Mandelbulb a living aspect by choosing colors close to dermal tissues. The camera also gradually zooms out to give a evolutionary process, until revealing the full scale of the alien like object flying above mountains.
Standing between living organism and impossible structure, Mandelbulb has an hypnotic power forcing you to keep observing it to understand its unnatural shapes.
