After the crew of the Enterprise find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one-man weapon of mass destruction.
Paramount Pictures approached Ignition to design the first official poster for second installment of the Star Trek franchise. As the poster was getting finalized Paramount asked our digital department to build an animation that brings the dramatic poster to life to enhance the tease of Starfleet officer, Commander John Harrison taking down London.
Paramount Pictures approached Ignition to design the first official poster for second installment of the Star Trek franchise. As the poster was getting finalized Paramount asked our digital department to build an animation that brings the dramatic poster to life to enhance the tease of Starfleet officer, Commander John Harrison taking down London.
As the lead Sr. Animator and Art Director of the digital department I had the opportunity to get my hands on one of the most successful sci-fi franchises of all time. The biggest challenge of the animation was to extend the details of a very detailed static poster into an animation that retains the detail to emphasize the drama of the poster.
