I'm Greater Than My Highs And Lows

How might we provide new customer revenue through Her.Platform to prevent domestic violence towards women and provide engaging mental health services to men
Through some extensive research, our team discovered that a large percentage of male domestic violence abusers have a history of/ are victims of their own mental health problems. Through discovering why some men with mental health problems have a tendency to become domestic violence abusers, our team found out that the lack of emotional support systems/ outlets and the surrounding stigma of men opening up about their mental health, can lead to unhealthy coping mechanisms and incorrect treatments to their issues. Some of their unhealthy coping mechanisms include substance abuse and violence. The latter, we realised, is how some men end up as abusers.

As a team, we realised that we wanted to create a solution for this problem that would help decrease the number of domestic violence abusers with mental health problems.

So we created the idea of a counselling service that men with mental health issues could go to, to be properly treated and would therefore decrease the number of female domestic violence victims. It will be advertised discreetly through products sold in the Her.Platform shop.
Our product idea is to create a new discreet and minimalistic logo that will cater towards both men and women without an "in-your-face"/"on-the-nose" slogan.
The discreet and intriguing nature of the logo embellished on our product, is a simple yet effective way to get the conversation going about our suggested service and it allows men to support the service, without feeling insecure because of the unhealthy stigma around men’s mental health.
The above image is a poster with the logo and a QR code leading to The Centre for Women and Co.’s homepage. This poster will be posted in bathroom stalls in all male bathrooms from stadiums to universities to shopping centres and even work spaces. The simplistic nature of the poster triggers at the curiosity in people and will allow men to scan the QR code and learn about the facility available to them, and the secretive locations of the posters will allow men to discreetly access help without feeling self-conscious or embarrassed.
By broadening Her.Platform’s demographic to include men, the social enterprise will not only help promote The Centre for Women and Co. through merchandise, but it will also help eradicate the stigma around men seeking help when they need it,  and preventing dangerous repercussions of built-up negative emotions.
