The Compadre - Handheld Game Console

The Compadre
Handheld Game Console
The Compadre is a custom-made handheld game console. It is powered by a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W that is installed with the Retropie operating system, which allows it to play games from the Nintendo 64 and Gameboy, among others. The PCB was designed with EasyEDA, and the case itself was designed in Fusion 360 and 3D printed in black PLA.
The Compadre was sanded and painted with black spray paint. The white diagonal stripe was inspired by the button color scheme, and the gold sheriff star was to contribute to the wild western theme. Joysticks were also designed in Fusion 360 and printed in resin and PLA respectively.
The Compadre enclosure was sculpted rather than sketched to provide a more ergonomic grip when being held.
The Compadre's PCB was designed in EasyEDA and runs off of four AA batteries.
