Academic realism art work
Academic realism art work
Over the past 9 months I have been studying at ‘The Florence Academy of Art’ in Italy. I have been practicing the art of realism through the teachings the masters of the renaissance used. The images below are drawn from life using either charcoal or graphite. The time each piece took varies from 1 hour through to 50 hours depending on the complexity of the piece. The methods of drawing that I used are site size method and comparative method.
