UNFOLLOW HATE: a distopic short film that shows the struggles of a modern Van Gogh living today,
in times when online hate can stop people from following their passions.
The cinematography is a tribute to Van Gogh’s oeuvre. Chromatic references are present throughout the movie,
a play of yellow and blue going from joyful warmth to toxicity. Bold portraits of intense eye contact reflect the character’s feelings and his inner decay, just like Van Gogh’s dozens of portraits. Visuals embedded storytelling aiming to pack as much emotion as it can fit.
UNFOLLOW HATE is a story that could be about Van Gogh, but also about anyone else who has a passion.
