Barrick logo
Barrick Gold Corporation is a mining company that produces gold and copper with 16 operating sites in 13 countries.
When Randgold resources and Barrick merged in 2018 I was briefed to design a new logo for the company. I ended up using the gold colour from the previous Randgold logo as a tribute. I then tried to find a balance between the 2 blues in both previous logos. The underline was also an element that I kept from the Randgold logo but decided to give it a new shape, pointing into the future.
Options for the Barrick logo. Originally the company would have been named Barrick global and the intention was to have a globe as a tribute to the old Randgold logo and an arrow pointing into the future and indicating that they have mines all around the world.
