Tie
The project started with an investigation on clothing and accessories that were created each season but which later became second-hand clothes that were thrown away and given to charity. I developed a research on the recycling inspired by Andrea Crews. In fact, by looking at their work, my project became a re-interpretation of flexible and unique accessories that came to life in an ironic, funny and unconventional way. The originality is in its process of creation, bringing to life unique items and trends through an experimental collection. In this case, I chose a tie as my item. The final outcome was a special top made from ties, which became a new way of expressing the aesthetic and ethics, a contemporary need of different generations to see themselves within the world of fashion.
