I am excited to share images that have been in a box for more than a decade (c1998.) These Polaroid manipulations are not computer altered. They are all hand manipulated Polaroids. I was inspired in the late 1980's by photographer Michael Goings work that appeared on the cover of Communication Arts Magazine. My images are a mixture of SX-70 and Polaroid 600 film. The 600 film has pink emulsion effects and the SX-70 film has white emulsion effects. Each image was manipulated "on the spot" after each exposure. Seated on the curb, sidewalk or car seat. A select few were published in a "Portfolio" section of a 1998 issue of Oklahoma Today magazine, including the cover. Most of the images were taken in Oklahoma or on summer vacations across the midwest.
