For this project in Commercial Photography, we were tasked to set up and shoot a food item or items for two different types of shots. The first shot was meant to be shot as it would for a magazine cover, leaving room for the magazine title header and type around the edges, as more of a clean hero shot. The second shot was meant to be an accompanying more styled photo that could be used for the article inside the magazine. I chose to shoot a cheesecake slice and as I molded the first shot, I ended up adding blueberries and raspberries, as well as a fork to dress the shot up a bit. The second shot was where I got to play around a little with the styling and I decided to put the fork in the cheesecake. As I did so, there was a bit of a fissure in the cake, and I felt that while I could have edited it out, it made the shot much stronger.
