CHESS²

Chess is a millennia-old game with few successful examples of commercial spinoffs. Although it is a timeless competition, it cannot be played by more than two people.
CHESS² is an original variation that allows for 3-4 players to join. After testing play with an early physical prototype, I developed a fleshed-out rulebook and modeled a carrying case for my chess piece designs. Notably, participants often find new, exciting dynamics that emerge due to the expanded gameplay area.
The board splits into three magnetic 4" x 12" sections that also function as the case cover, allowing for easy storage and assembly of a larger layout.
