The New York Times publishes an annual food special issue. This redesign focuses on healthy eating, particularly on consuming whole foods and having a balanced diet. The central story is based on Michael Pollan's book 'Food Rules', a book on simple rules to follow to have a balanced, healthy meal. The rules are divided into graphically represented categories for recall and the design presents the rules in an easy-to-digest form, illustrated with cheeky imagery that reiterate the messaging. The secondary article is on the eating habits of centenarians living in areas designated at Blue Zones.
