A project for a young couple from (my beloved) Kyiv. As the clients told me, this apartment is for the so-called "transit point". They dream of a big and bright house, nevertheless, they want to see this apartment as pleasant and comfortable for living, without bright colors, and without unnecessary furniture.
The object is located in a panel house, built during the USSR. A very typical building for a residential area. I lived in such a house with my family, so it was interesting for me to make such a project.
The main requirement was the creation of comfortable space with minimal changes to the layout of the apartment and adaptation to the budget. Therefore, we did not lower the ceilings in the apartment, did not demolish the walls, and did not make difficult decisions. The project should be built easily and quickly.
This design of furniture in the kitchen appeared for a reason. At the request of the client, the sink should be above the working surface of the kitchen. So you can lean on the sink and wash the dishes. The tabletop and sink are made of the same material. To make the furniture look like one design, the kitchen hood also has a protrusion.
The client plans to use the bedroom only for sleep, so we removed all the unnecessary furniture. Made the room spacious and light. The big closet was moved to the next room.
The living room has collected several functions. This is a meeting place for friends. Workplace if you need to work online. And a large storage closet.
Unfortunately, we did not have time to complete the project completely because the war has started. I look forward to my client and we will continue the work.
