Showy Mountain Ash and American Mountain Ash. Casually known as dogberries in Newfoundland. Many say they're not edible however they are used in jams, jellies and wines but not recommended to eat raw as they are very acidic. Many in Newfoundland believe they are a sign of a long snowy cold winter.
