Burma Shave Project by Carly Willett

For this project, we were given the task to choose a quote or song lyric and turn it into an interesting fold. It was inspired by the Burma Shave advertisements that were shown on billboards on Route 66. For this project the quote we chose had to end in a four letter word which would be shown last in the fold. We had to place our text throughout the first few pages of the fold to make sense once we printed it and actually folded the edges. The quote that I chose is a Swedish quote called Fika which is "Slow down and enjoy the good things in life". This quote means a lot to me because I have a lot of moments where my anxiety gets the best of me in life, and I just have to take a step back and look at the good things in life.
