Back in 2020 I was commissioned by a new brand of children's play mats - "Pollzu", to create a seamless pattern for one of their play mats.
Back in 2020 I was commissioned by a new brand of children's play mats - "Pollzu", to create a seamless pattern for one of their play mats.
Let me tell you a bit more of the process
The main idea was that this pattern should in a cute and playful way introduce numbers from 0 to 9 to a kid. At the first step I created four different sketches illustrating this main idea in different ways.
The client decided to continue with the sketch you can see below
On the next step I worked with the sketch in Adobe Illustrator to create vector seamless pattern. Color palette should have been gender neutral. Keeping that in mind I presented four different options to the client
This design was approved to became a play mat!
The pattern went a long way and finally this year, in February 2022 the play mat was produced
