The origami crane is CinemAmbiente’s communication campaign image which this year is dedicated to the casualties of the tragic events occurred in Japan in March 2011.
The festival wishes to involve the public actively by giving out stashes of origami paper with the folding instructions and inviting the viewers to make the crane to express their sympathy as, according to the ancient legend, those who fold a thousand origami cranes will be granted their wishes.
