Partnership between University of Fine-Arts Lisbon and Rusticasa
The briefing proposed an improvement in furniture, layout and floor plan, as well as ergonomics and accessibility in the kitchen and bathroom.
After analyzing the actual Woodhouse we found some improvement opportunities:
_Poor security and difficult access
_Poor use of usable space
_Depreciation of contact with the outside
_Not very versatile house typology
Our ideas consisted in 3 main topics: sustainability, modularity and inclusivity.
For our final concepts, we included all the ideas above and we made changes in the plan (old vs new 2nd picture), added modular furniture, changed the stairs and entrance and made the windows and terrace bigger.
