Mirrors often fulfill only a single function in one's home, they are often placed flat on surfaces and rarely have an interesting form expression. In this project, I investigated whether a mirror could create an interesting expression and at the same time fulfill a function. The frame of the mirror is reflected and creates the illusion that it is skewed, which catches one's attention. The mirror frame is wide on one side and can be used as a relief surface or as a shelf, which means that the mirror can be experienced more as a piece of furniture in the home. The mirror frame is made of solid oak.
