Eggshell porcelain - a traditional Chinese crafted porcelain which is very thin overall - almost translucent. I am not a porcelain myself, but I can imagine the difficulties and failure rate.  It's for display only and I don't think anyone will use it as utensil. This is a commercial grade bowl and the drawing is not even close to gallery grade.
