Plastic waste pollution will become one of the greatest worries of our coming generations. It is responsability of productive industries to switch mindsets and start adapting its processes to be as circular and clean as possible.

Additive manufacturing is a highly promising technology with the potential not only to recycle some plastic types without any material waste, but to obtain geometries unreachable for other techniques.

Soro is a recycled plastic 3D printed concept chair, result of a form study. Its curves are inspired in automobile styling, as car bumpers are pieces that are currently being recycled by some companies.

The imperfection of the object’s surfaces are emphasized in these renderings. Many of the arising or experimental processes nowadays entail certain level of flaw, so the audience must embrace a new beauty, far from polished finishes, surrendering part of the control.
