Exploring the Relationship between the Land and Sea
Brief:
Create a conceptual rule book that uses instructions and images from completely unrelated sources to create a cohesive piece. E.g. instructions for glue applied to imagery for relationships.
Instructions for American Servicemen in Britain, 1942. This was given to US G.I.s who were stationed in Britain during WWII and instructs them how to conduct themselves so as to avoid any conflicts with their allies. I took these rules and decided to apply them to the relationship between sea and land, two elements that coexist together but at times can fight against each other fiercely. To that end, my rule book acts almost as a source of advice to the land about the ferocity with which the sea can act sometimes.
