this is my 1st full mattepainting cum photomanipulation.took me weeks to perfect it.

my basic intention was to have a stark contrast and dark sensation between the white themed snowy background,the mountains and the dark blood.

scene depicts two ronins (and their boa pet) staring down a decapitated victim of a ninja clan.

the overall mood of the artwork was to reflect ancient japanese styled paintings, with smudged and irregular strokes across.
