Golf Driving Range, Artxanda, Bizkaia

Considered as a starting point for the future development of sports facilities, the building is located on a very uneven plot, characteristic of the surrounding area. Bearing in mind the conditions imposed by its purpose and the topography, the building is considered as a succession of staggered volumes which are added to the land, set at different heights so as to limit the visual impact and allow access to the different areas of the facilities.

 

The result is a long, horizontal building, broken up lengthwise by patios, closed volumes and open spaces. The different materials chosen: wood, glass and aluminium, as well as the planned gaps and entrances clearly differentiate each of the volumes that make up the building, and in turn, emphasize the dialogue that the architecture strikes up with the surrounding environment.
