Runmageddon is a series of the most popular Obstacle Course Races (OCR) in Poland. In 2019 almost 90,000 Participants from all over Europe took part in it.
It challenges your fitness, strength, stamina and mental resistance. There's no need for you to be an athlete or a professional runner to finish the race, but you need to be ready to push all of you to your limits - the ones set by the obstacles given on the route as well as these set by your own mind.The vast majority of Participants are amateurs who want to try their hand at extreme challenge.

In 2019, I traveled with Runmageddon all over Poland and photographed the metamorphoses of runners. I made over 1700 of them. I also conducted dozens of interviews with runners whose OCR runs changed their lives in very different ways. Sometimes they helped to get out of the disease, sometimes they helped to resist domestic violence, get out of bad company e.t.c.

The photos of the metamorphoses along with the stories of the participants have been published in the form of a photo book. The metamorphoses in the photos are complemented by the stories of the participants' life changes. They are their simple symbol.
