One of Malaysia's most favourite breakfast meals, Roti Canai is essentially a piece of dough which is kneaded, thrown, flattened, oiled and cooked on a flat iron skillet. The dish was brought over from India and in Malaysia, it was created by Indian Muslim, also known as "mamaks" and is served in Mamak stalls located in both rural and urban Malaysia. It can be served on the side or torn into pieces and mixed with the dhal or curry as a light meal or snack. However, roti canai is often served as the star dish, accompanied by different savoury and sweet fillings and ingredients.
