Uruguay 1996/2013

These are the pictures taken in Uruguay during the last spring (May 2013) in the area
of Cologne Valdense between the Institution and the Waldensian community .

A lot of things have changed from my previous trip in 1996.

Many of the elderly guys were died, but I had the good fortune to spend a few weeks with their children and their families and the experience was interesting and more
depth than in 1996 .

I was hosted by Alma and Sergio and I knew several families of Italian origin and visited the various Waldensian institutions engaged in the religious and social fields. These latter especially impressed me very strongly for their organization , competence, and for the improvement of the work and the awareness of the role that social play .

Also my way of photographing is changed, other
technology and experience accumulated over the years , but that will be see and judged by you.

I admit that Uruguay is a Country that I love. I love the people that I
knew. Of course the life is not easy for anyone even in Uruguay but there I breathed the air of hope and confidence for the future, an air that unfortunately is hardly blowing in my Country.
