Damn Fine Coffee Roasters
DFC Roasters is an authentic 3rd wave coffee brand from Sri Lanka. The brand is focused on the product's quality and ethics of the production.
Bold brand name 'Damn Fine Coffee Roasters' did not give us a chance not to implement a kind of rebel spirit into the design. The logo and illustration style appeals to a gothic atmosphere or even a sort of biker's aesthetics which communicates boldness and audacity.
One of the design goals was to emphasise the Ceylon origin of the product, and we gently weaved this message into the illustration. In the tail of peacock, the main character of the packaging line, which is also one of Sri Lankan symbols, you can find roasted coffee bean as well as Sri Lankan national Raksha (demon) mask.
