Seven-year-old girl Ilona visits her old neighbor mr. Kralj, who is an outstanding storyteller. While telling the legend of the Slovenian hero King Matjaž, they create their own fantasy world together. With her ideas, Ilona wittily intervenes in the story, humorously intertwines it with the present, and finally discovers a great secret mr. Kralj is keeping.​​​​​​​
