Quayside nail studio is a multi-functioning salon/ body-care/ nail studio that aims to promote gender-neutral/ unisex services, blurring the definition of a conventional nail salon. The shop is looking at its establishment at the quay of New Westminster, British Columbia, where Fraser River passes. To construct the identity of the shop, the visual motif is carried out with the impression derived from the constantly flowing river, at the same time mimicking the stroke works done by a nail polishing brush, representing elegance and confidence. The logo is created with a play of shape, replacing the stroke of the letter “ Q “ with a touch of wavy transformation. With both the initial version and the full version of the logo, the deliverables can be implemented in various shapes and sizes according to the need of the business.
