Kom el Dikka is an Agri-Lodge based in Tunis village in Fayoum. Beside being a hotel & a restaurant, it's an organic farm. Its a space that provides many diverse and interesting activities such as: Fruit & Vegetable Picking, Bird & Flamingo watching, Hiking, Sailing, Fishing, Baking, Pottery making, Arts & Crafts, learning to plant, and Boat rides in the lake.
Jidar was commissioned to paint a mural & around 20 columns in the restaurant that reflect the culture & the vibe of Kom El Dikka & Tunis village.
I started with creating a mood-board of the pictures I took last year on my long stay in Tunis village. (all mine except the flamingos)
The design's main concept revolved around the hands since all the activities you get to do include experimenting & using your hands, from picking the vegetables to creating pottery to eating Fetteer & Assal.
Executing in less than 2 days with the great friend & muralist tasneem!
