This project was just for fun. The idea behind the project was to blend the Trek Slip (see pic below) and Ultra Range Rapidweld to see if I could come up with a more athletic stance. The focus for the project was to go from sketch to 3D print in 2 weeks.

I did a quick sketch and really went to it from there. The interesting take here was on the logo which was not a authorized placement..but sometimes you just need to stretch your legs a bit and break the rules.

 

Part of the experience was the not just have the concept visualized..but 3D print it for reference at a later point. One of the great things I've learned through the years is that it's always great to have 3D prints of concepts around. Sometimes they spark new ideas through casual conversations. My advice to my team is to always print stuff out.
