For the 2013 Workshop with the typographer Sliggers Jacobus, having to choice a word that represents own personal experience, mine is “Elsewhere”. In italian is “Altrove”.
This word because is the study, separations and affections that fill my life lead me to find myself in a place, and desire, at the same time, to be elsewhere.

Dovendo scegliere una parola vicina al proprio vissuto personale, la mia è stata “Altrove”.
Perchè lo studio, le separazioni, e gli affetti che riempiono la mia vita mi portano a trovarmi in un posto e a desiderare di essere, contemporaneamente, altrove.
To write the letters I have cut square shapes in PVC panels that overlapping revealed the word.
Only the vision of all of these shows the word at all.
The 100x70 cm poster was made from a photo of the play of light and shadows created by panels.

Per scrivere le lettere, invece di usare una font già esistente, ho tagliato delle forme squadrate in pannelli di PVC che sovrapposti rivelavano la parola. Solo la visione di insieme di questi mostra la parola al completo.
Il poster, di 100x70 cm è l'elaborazione di una fotografia che coglie il gioco di luci e ombre dei pannelli.
