OPI, is the world leading brand in the professional nail care industry. OPI is owned by the Wella Company, which also owns name brands such as Clairol, GHD and Wella. The Senior Manager of Wella really liked the videos that my team was creating for the Dream World and OTC Beauty Magazine YouTube channels, so she asked for us to create three videos, a Product Knowledge and a Nail Prep video in English and Korean.

I immediately did my research and started writing the scripts. OPI sent over a Powerpoint with the features and benefits of each product. The scripts went back and forth a few times as more details were added.  

Elsa and Leona from OPI flew in and we started filming on a Sunday.  The first shot was at 10am, and the last at 2pm. With the filming done, next was the editing.  The Nail Prep (English) was edited, approved and uploaded three weeks later. The Nail Prep (Korean) and Product Knowledge video took another three months because the video editor position was cut. That really set back this project, but I stepped up and finished it.

In review, I really enjoyed working with the people from OPI. They knew exactly what they wanted and we delivered a quality product to them. I look forward to the next project for Wella.
