Zerpspace is a non-profit, independent artist-run contemporary arts organization based in Melbourne, Australia. It organizes temporary art and design exhibitions in different, vacant spaces in the Melbourne city. They are dedicated to providing exhibition opportunities for young artists and designers. I develop the logo with a geometric structure, which has a similar shape of number 0, to create the logo. It also shows a spacial structure and hence looks like a corner of space. In this case, it could be seen as “the corner / space for young talents to exhibit their works”, which just rightly links back to the name of the organization.
The logo is based on the shape of two hexagons.
With a condensed typeface, the logotype needs more space between each letter to make it visually comfortable.
After the discussion with client, we decided to use craft paper for stationery to keep the identity simple, edgy, experimental.
The general "at sign (@)" in email address had been changed into a custom sign with the shape of hexagon.
The layout of letterhead is based on the shape and structure of the logo.
This is the invitation card, which has a template and could be easily altered with each different exhibition.
Promotional posters for the new exhibition.
We also made an A-Frame sign for noticing people where the exhibition is.
