All projects involved testing prototypes and are therefore confidential, so details cannot be shared; however, major responsibilities and tasks that I performed are listed below.
Creating protocol:
- Discussing needs from stakeholders and setting expectations about what can
reasonably be accomplished given tools, timeframe, and effort required
- Outlining risks and dependencies
- Determining timeline and deliverables
Recruitment:
- Sending emails/surveys
- Creating study advertisements
- Screening for inclusive/exclusive criteria
- Scheduling, cancelling, and rescheduling participant sessions
- Following up, if needed
- Processing incentives
Moderating participant sessions:
- Preparing session documents and devices
- Performing in-person and remote sessions
- Device troubleshooting
- Collecting data with various tools
Analyzing results:
- Quantitative (objective data) and qualitative data (observations, subjective data)
Composing formal reports:
- One-pagers or slide decks
- Emphasizing conclusions based on the collected data
- Focusing on impacts and the bigger picture
- Presenting to larger team and upper management
Other: research for new initiatives and unique areas where knowledge is lacking, support for other teams/projects, etc.
