The end of an era. This was Best Buy's final newsprint Black Friday ad. And we went out with a bang. Against all odds, during a pre-vaccine pandemic, we were able to organize a socially-distanced, in person, final Black Friday photoshoot. The logistics were impressive and the safety precautions were taken seriously. We shot nearly 200 products in 10 days, retouching and compositing images and producing pages in tandem with the shoot. After 7 years working on the Best Buy weekly ad, this swan song was a major success for Best Buy and for our team. Which is why I'm showing all 20 pages.
