The Zambezi Sun is a resort perched on the edge of the Victoria Falls, where the focus is is on family fun, learning and adventure. The Zambezi Sun celebrates African culture and traditions through a variety of hand crafted finishes and textures which can be seen throughout the hotel and its surroundings, with the emphasis on home comforts and family.
The brief was to do an evolutionary upgrade of the existing brandmark, which has been carefully crafted to represent the spirit and strategy behind the brand. The relaxed, informal execution of both the symbol and logotype reflect the familiarity and ease of being at home, the bright colours are inspired by the magnificent Zambian landscape and wildlife. The informal geometric shapes that are an integral part of the Zambezi Sun identity are derived from the shapes that form the Zambezi Sun logo symbol. A library of textures have been photographed to be used as graphic backgrounds and/or borders to create visual interest. The colours are saturated and the images are rich in texture and/or cultural relevance.
